On 15th November 2022, Comprehensive Health and Financial Digital Intelligence Transformation Development and MPAcc Education Seminar was held at the Conference Center of Shanghai Sales Management Headquarter for Hospital Businesses of Sinopharm Group Co. Ltd. The Seminar was hosted by the Comprehensive Health and Digital Intelligence Finance Research Center of School of Finance and Business (SFB) Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) and the Pharmaceutical Financial Policy Branch of Chinese Society of Pharmaceutical Accounting (CSPA), and co-organized by Shanghai Sales Management Headquarter for Hospital Businesses of Sinopharm Group Co. Ltd. and Shanghai Donghong Pharmaceutical Medicine Co., Ltd. Focusing on topic of development of comprehensive health and financial digital intelligence, attendants discussed about optimizing construction of Comprehensive Health and Digital Intelligence Finance Research Center of SFB SHNU, fully brought in practical suggestions from financial departments of major hospitals and relevant enterprises in Shanghai, and provided valuable experience for innovative practice for MPAcc at SFB SHNU.

About 30 participants attended the Seminar, including: Prof. LIU Jianghui, Dean of SFB SHNU, relevant persons in charge and faculty representatives from MPAcc Education Center, Comprehensive Health and Digital Intelligence Finance Research Center, Career Development Center, MBA Education Center of SFB SHNU, and student representatives from SFB SHNU; chief accountants from Grade-A Tertiary Hospitals in Shanghai, such as Shanghai Ruijin Hospital, Huashan Hospital, Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, Pediatric Research Center, etc.; general managers and financial directors from enterprises like China National Nuclear Supply Chain Operation Co.,Ltd., Shanghai Donghong Pharmaceutical Medicine Co., Ltd, etc.
Mr. WU Yilun, Financial Director of Shanghai Sales Management Headquarter for Hospital Businesses of Sinopharm Group Co. Ltd., Vice President of Pharmaceutical Financial Policy Branch of Chinese Society of Pharmaceutical Accounting and an industry mentor for SFB SHNU delivered the welcome speech. Following that, Prof. LIU Jianghui, Dean of SFB SHNU made a speech, in which he first thanked all present industry mentors for their strong support to cultivation of SFB’s MPAcc students, highlighted that SFB aims to educate learners to be talents with business literacy and humanistic temperament that needs guidance from industry mentors. Mr. LI Xuehui, President of Pharmaceutical Financial Policy Branch of Chinese Society of Pharmaceutical Accounting, a Leading Accounting Talent in China and head of financial department at Ruijin Hospital, introduced the origin, significance and objectives of the joint establishment of the 'Comprehensive Health and Digital Finance Research Center' with SFB, and demonstrated confidence in future development of the Center. He affirmed the philosophy and mode of MPAcc talent cultivation at SFB SHNU, which is closely relevant to requirements of the era for digital intelligence transformation. In addition, he expressed expectation for the younger generation to do solid work, work and study hard in a continuous manner.

In order to benefit from mutual discussion, further facilitate talent cultivation and finally serve socio-economic development in a high quality manner, SFB has established the Comprehensive Health and Digital Finance Research Center and appointed 8 experts “senior research fellows”, including: Mr. LI Xuehui, head of financial department at Ruijin Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine; Mr. WU Yilun, financial director of Shanghai Sales Management Headquarter for Hospital Businesses of Sinopharm Group Co. Ltd.; Ms. CHEN Zhijun, chief accountant of Shanghai Children's Medical Center (SCMC) affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine; Ms. ZHOU Haiping, chief accountant of Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University; Mr. XIA Peiyong, chief accountant of Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital; Mr. XU Dongsheng, financial director of China National Nuclear Supply Chain Operation Co.,Ltd.; RUAN Jing, general manager of Shanghai Donghong Pharmaceutical Medicine Co., Ltd., etc.

In order to broaden postgraduate students’ vision and to improve their abilities in practice, a signing ceremony for the internship base was held among representatives from Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Donghong Pharmaceutical Medicine Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital at Shanghai Sales Management Headquarter for Hospital Businesses of Sinopharm Group Co. Afterwards, attendants began academic exchanges on topic of 'Comprehensive Health and Financial Digital Intelligence Development'. In the first place, Dr. HE Yuqian, a young faculty from SFB SHNU gave a presentation titled 'New Technology and Development of Comprehensive Health Industry -- Taking 5G Medical Treatment as an Example', introduced the concept of 'Comprehensive Health', analyzed main existing problems in development process of medical industry, and elaborated the relationship between the comprehensive health industry, 5G technology and investment & financing. Following that, Dr. XU Jiayi, another young faculty from SFB SHNU gave a presentation named 'Comprehensive Health and Financial Digital Intelligence -- from the Perspective of Supply and Demand', introduced the development process of ' Comprehensive Health' and the definition of Financial Digital Intelligence, and further illustrated that the industry-academia connection and university-enterprise cooperation is a win-win choice for the comprehensive health industry. These two presentations enlightened participants to have a better understanding of 'Comprehensive Health and Financial Digital Intelligence Development'.

The Industry-Academia-Research connection of the Comprehensive Health Industry is particularly important in the trend of financial digital intelligence. Experts and professors participated had a lively discussion on the training of MPAcc students under the background of Comprehensive Health. Mr. XU Dongsheng, financial director of China National Nuclear Supply Chain Operation Co.,Ltd. introduced that the accounting system at their company consists of strategic accounting, professional accounting and financial shared accounting, and highlighted their needs for high-quality strategic accounting and management accounting, and expressed willingness to welcome fresh graduates of MPAcc and other bachelor’s-level programs from SFB SHNU to join China National Nuclear Supply Chain Operation Co.,Ltd.
Chief accountants from each hospital fully exchanged ideas on typical cases of digital intelligence transformation and comprehensive budget management, pointed out that accounting work at hospitals needs devotion and commitment. In addition, they indicated the importance of developing a positive working attitude as well as adequate abilities, and concluded that the school-enterprise cooperation is a 'win-win' way in training high-quality accounting talents. They have reached consensus that financial work at hospitals face digital intelligence transformation and upgrading, and that they have eager demands for high-quality accounting talents enthusiastic in health sector. In terms of talent training details, Mr. LI Xuehui and Mr. WU Yilun expressed hope that in addition to solid professional knowledge, students should pay attention to communication skills, vertical or horizontal management skills and empathy ability, and by making a little bit effort each day, one could achieve extraordinary. Following that, 10 MPAcc students introduced themselves respectively, and demonstrated desire to learn etiquette and way of work from 5 industry mentors present.

At the end of the Seminar, Prof. HUANG Hong, director of SFB MPAcc Center and the Comprehensive Health and Digital Intelligence Finance Research Center, on behalf of the Center, expressed gratitude to the experts and academics who participated in the University-Enterprise cooperation. In the future, SFB will work together with industry professionals to build and implement the training model of 'practice base + classroom + joint research center + dual mentors'. With a series of lectures, case development, comprehensive health and financial digital intelligence transformation and other university-enterprise cooperation, SFB and partners will jointly cultivate high-level applied talents who systematically masters modern financial and accounting knowledge and skills as well as leadership abilities in accounting work.
