Recently, Professor ZHAO Hongjun, Associate Dean of SFB was invited by Xinhua News Agency and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province to deliver a keynote speech on "Business Environment in Countries of the Belt and Road Initiative and China's Response" at the 2022 New Silk Road Story Exchange·Keqiao Forum. The Forum was attended by executive members from Cyberspace Administration of China, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Commerce, China Media Group, People's Daily, Economic Daily, China Railway, Sinopec Group, China Three Gorges Corporation, the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, as well as representatives from relevant units engaged in the construction of "the Belt and Road", experts and scholars studying "the Belt and Road" Initiative. There were over 300 attendants in total.

Prof. ZHAO Hongjun attended the Forum as the director of the Specialized Committee on the Belt and Road Pan-Regional Coordination and Development of Shanghai Society of World Economics, a professor at Shanghai Normal University and associate dean of School of Finance and Business (SFB). The Specialized Committee was established in 2015 in SFB’s Department of Regional Economics, and has held six consecutive academic seminars on "the Belt and Road" Initiative and China's development and governance, invited dozens of experts and scholars from all over China to participate, and published dozens of articles concerning "the Belt and Road" Initiative, and has generated a certain influence in the Yangtze River Delta and all over China.

Before delivering the keynote speech, Professor ZHAO was interviewed by the Program "the Belt and Road" from Xinhua Daily Telegraph. After the Forum, Professor ZHAO interacted with representatives from relevant units involved in the construction of "the Belt and Road" Initiative, news agencies and enterprise representatives from Keqiao District, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province.
